Our Camp Inspired Welcome Dinner at Camp Wed 2017 was one of our favorites to date! We were inspired by the always amazing Camp Wandawega and wanted to do our take on a vintage camping/mess hall style dinner. We enlisted the help of Chef Tyler Sylsbery of Black Sheep Whitewater and shared our inspiration for the dinner and asked him to create an elevated version of camping classics.
He blew everyone out of the water with the meal he created. The first course was a short rib pudgy pie with a cinnamon tomato and wine jelly sauce & goat cheese and it was amazing! Tyler wowed the group with the presentation of the second course – a Classic Wedge with grilled corn, tomatoes, and bacon served with a basil dressing and brought to the table under a dome filled with smoke. The meal was rounded out with an entrée of a Salmon Hobo Foil Meal and dessert was a grilled banana with pound cake and smoked ice Cream. When the food, atmosphere and décor come together for a meal the results are always amazing and this dinner was just that!
