What does your dream wedding look like?
A wedding day is not only about the bride but about the groom too. It’s a day for both families to celebrate coming together, so it’s important to me that everyone feels like they are included in the celebration. If I had to choose right now, I would love to have a summer outdoor wedding with a mint blue/purple color scheme. However, I am one of the most indecisive people on the planet, so this is surely going to change by the time my wedding day comes around. I do know I want a traditional white wedding dress that is not too puffy so I can dance the night away.
What is one thing you can’t live without?
This would definitely be my family and friends. Studying abroad this past semester made me realize how lucky I am to have each and every one of them by my side. I don’t know what I would do without such a great support system around me.
When you were a little girl what did you want to be when you grew up?
Up until my senior year I had always dreamed of becoming a teacher. I love spending time with children and putting smiles on their faces. During my senior year I became more interested in marketing and event coordination through a student co-op position I had. I now want to make people smile through helping make their special day even more memorable.
If you could plan a destination wedding anywhere in the world where would it be?
I have always imagined getting married on the beach, so if I could get married anywhere in the world I would choose Hawaii. Traveling to Hawaii has been on my bucket list for as long as I can remember, so what better way to check this destination off than at my wedding?! The beautiful scenery and sunny weather would ensure a memorable and special day.
What is your favorite wedding trend of the moment?
I love the custom hashtags that couples are now using to capture even more moments from their special day. Creating a personalized hashtag to encourage guests to share their pictures is a great way to get everyone involved in the celebration and collect candid shots that otherwise might not have been captured. These hashtags allow everyone from the wedding to share the love and easily access photos.
