It’s a commonly held superstition that it’s bad luck for the groom to see the bride in her dress before the ceremony. Well, kick that unfounded rule to the curb, because seeing your beau prior to saying “I do” is an excellent way to quell any residual nerves or anxieties. Furthermore, many couples nowadays are taking “first look” photos, in which the bride and groom see each other to snap pictures before they walk down the aisle. This allows you to spend more time mingling and dancing with friends and family at the reception, rather than spending time taking photos post-ceremony. For many couples, breaking tradition and seeing one another before the ceremony is both comforting and practical.
